Josh Costell
Executive Chairman
Josh Costell serves as JDC Energy Services’ Executive Chairman. His engineer, procure, and construct (EPC) Group and Energy Services Company (ESCO) specializes in self-funding economically feasible energy projects. Mr. Costell brings over thirty years of senior management experience in the HVAC industry with The Dome Tech Group, Johnson Controls, and Honeywell.
Valerie Moran
Executive Vice President
Valerie Moran has spent 19 years in the Energy Services Industry. She began her career with Johnson Controls, Inc. as a Service Sales Account Executive in New Jersey and then in Manhattan for 13 years. Together with members of the NJ State Legislature, Valerie was responsible for developing the legislative guidelines for all ESCOs in New Jersey. As the Executive Vice President for JDC Energy Services, Mrs. Moran is in charge of all day-to-day operations of all the business.
Chris Andrews
Vice President Business & Project Development
As Vice President of Business and Project Development, Chris is fully accountable for all sales and engineering for JDC Energy Services. In addition, Chris is responsible for all the oversight and development of all energy projects, savings guarantees and scopes of work. Over the course of his 14 years in the industry, Chris has established expertise in project management and building automation and has led the advancement of more than 50 performance contract projects with a combined value of over $500 million.
Paul Ryan
Chief Project Execution Officer
Paul Ryan has over 30 years of experience in engineering and construction. He has a superior commitment to project excellence to forward the mission in exceptional quality, expert project management, and continuous client satisfaction. His seasoned supervision of numerous substantial engineering and project management tasks provides leadership in support of JDC Energy Services and its projects. Paul offers clients direct access and accountability while consistently providing knowledgeable engineering and construction management and persistently meeting the most ambitious scheduling demands. Paul is responsible for all implementation for JDC Energy Services.
Dan Drury
Senior Director Project Implementation
Dan has successfully filled various roles over the past 20 years within DCO Energy (DCO) as a Field Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Scheduler, Start Up & Commissioning Coordinator, Project Manager and Senior Project Manager. He currently works as Senior Director of Project Implementation. Dan’s education and background in Engineering, paired with his Construction Management experience allow him to successfully manage the project design to produce streamlined, constructable work packages. Dan directly oversees our Project Implementation team to make sure our projects are meeting scheduled milestones, staying in line with the established scopes of work and are set to deliver the energy savings to our clients.
Jeff Norton
Director of Technical Solutions
Jeff Norton has spent over 20 years in the HVAC and Automation Industry. After attending Drexel University, he worked with York International as an inside Sales Engineer. Following his experience at York, he was employed at Tozour Energy Systems as a Project Manager and Building Automation System Estimator and later as a BAS Sales Engineer. His employment history has involved him in millions of dollars in energy reduction projects.
In his role as Director of Technical Solutions, Mr. Norton is responsible for the oversight and development of JDC Energy Services’ largest and most complex projects. He is also responsible for identifying new technologies available in the market and applying those solutions to fit our clients’ needs.
Randy Krivanek
Director of Commissioning Services
Randy has spent 30 years in Healthcare Facilities Management and understands the extra demands within a healthcare or institutionalized setting. As Director of Commissioning Services, he is involved with initial walkthroughs during the RFP process to identify key areas of concern from the IGA phase through construction to final completion. He conducts site visits once a project has begun to make sure energy savings guarantees will be met and to identify any possible issues that could arise. He is responsible for overseeing the commissioning of installed systems and their integration into existing systems and components.
Steve Schmidt
Engineering Manager, Project Development & Building Performance
As Engineering Manager for the Project Development and Building Performance teams, Steve oversees the Investment Grade Audit process and is responsible for developing the Energy Savings Plan. Steve started with JDC Energy Services nine years ago as an intern working in incentive procurement, energy benchmarking, and IPMVP energy modeling. He now leads the development team to determine project scopes, installation budgets, energy savings, and incentive estimates. Steve manages the project through third-party review and financing. After financing, Steve works with our project implementation team to ensure the project is built according to the Energy Savings Plan to guarantee dollar savings planned. IPMVP measurement and verification protocols verify savings. He manages incentive procurement through state utilities and federal incentive programs. Since his inception with JDC Energy Services, Steve has led the development of 15 projects with a combined value of over $200 million.
